The Ministry of Infrastructure’s Competition Commission Reviewed Design Concepts for Regional Projects
The Competition Commission of the Ministry of Infrastructure reviewed submitted design concepts for the development of a multifunctional sports complex in Zugdidi, a swimming pool in Senaki, and the rehabilitation of a square and park in Tsalenjikha.
The new multifunctional sports complex in Zugdidi is designed to accommodate up to 1,000 spectators and will include training halls, an outdoor mini-football field, a chess area, as well as tennis and padel courts.
In Senaki, the construction of a modern indoor swimming pool with a capacity of 200 spectators is planned.
The rehabilitation project of Terenti Graneli Park in Tsalenjikha предусматривает the arrangement of children’s and recreational zones, as well as sports, cultural, and educational spaces. Additionally, the Tsalenjikha square will be developed to include recreational areas designed for visitors of all age groups.
The meeting of the Competition Commission was attended by the Minister of Infrastructure, Revaz Sokhadze, the State Representative in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Davit Verava, the delegate of Khobi, Poti, and Senaki, Giorgi Khakhubia, mayors of municipalities, and representatives of the Ministry of Education, Sports, and the Football Federation.
The Commission will announce the winners of the design competitions in the coming days.
