Land adjacent to the Dadiani Palace, alienated in 2007, returned to the Zugdidi Municipality

In the yard of the Dadiani Palace, near the entrance to the Botanical Garden, 995 square meters of land sold in 2007 during the rule of the National Movement was returned to the Zugdidi Municipality.
The ongoing negotiations between the Zugdidi City Hall and “Lazeti Group” LLC have been successfully completed, and by the owner's decision, the former amphitheater, a territory of great importance for the socio-cultural life of Zugdidi, is still the property of the city.
During the “National Movement” government, the aforementioned territory was purchased in 2007 by Levan Kardava, a businessman close to the same party and later a member of parliament from the National Movement. Kardava later sold the aforementioned plot of land to Gia Ubiriya,The aforementioned land plot was purchased from Ubiria on March 20, 2020, by “Lazeti Group” LLC.
The land alienated by the “National Movement” regime in the historic yard of the Dadiani family in the heart of the city has been returned to the city."We will work with the City Hall to organize a space for socio-cultural activities in this area. With the agreement reached, historical justice has been restored. I would like to thank the central government and all those who were involved in this process."- noted the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, David Verava.
The Administration of the State Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and the Zugdidi City Hall are planning to construct a socio-cultural facility on the land returned to the city. Relevant services will be involved in the project.
