Nino Vibliani met with the Ambassador of Austria

First Deputy State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti  Nino Vibliani  met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Georgia Thomas Mühlmann.

At the meeting, sides discussed about the activities to be implemented within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation signed between the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region and the Federal Land of Tyrol of the Republic of Austria.

Tyrol already cooperates with Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti in the direction of fire-rescue and forest fire management issues. Cooperation in the tourism and education sector is also planned. At the meeting, the parties talked about further deepening of relations between Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and the Federal Land of Tyrol of the Republic of Austria and close cooperation between friendly regions.

A memorandum of cooperation between the Austrian Federal Land of Tyrol and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti side was signed in October 2021. The agreement was signed by Giorgi Guguchia, the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, and Günter Platter, the Governor of the Federal Land of Tyrol.

A memorandum of cooperation aims at cooperation between the parties in the fields of economy, tourism, culture, education, sports, and civil security. as well as sharing experience. Holding of joint forums and business fairs, meetings of entrepreneurs and development of joint projects.
