Ekaterine Tikaradze Visits Vaccination Cabinet at Rukhi Republican Hospital

Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Ekaterine Tikaradze  together with the State Representative and local government officials visited immunization cabinet at Rukhi Republican Hospital.

This is Rukhi Republican Hospital where vaccination is accessible for people entering from occupied territories. The hospital has relevant resources both in terms of management of patients’ flow and proper equipment. A medical brigade of all vaccinating facilities unites three people -doctor, nurse and registrar. All brigades received training on management of possible side effects of vaccination including after vaccination period.

 “It is very important to expand the process of vaccination at maximum extent. Rukhi Republican Hospital is involved in fight with COVID-19 from the very first day. The vaccination at the Hospital will be also available for the citizens entering from occupied territories. This will contribute to the improvement of epidemiological situation”, - stated Ekaterine Tikaradze.

Besides, Ekaterine Tikaradze opened dialysis and renal replacement therapy department at the Hospital. The Department is designated to the patients with 5th stage of chronic kidney diseases who needed renal replacement therapy, namely hemodialysis. The department will serve around 200 patients.

The newest, 20 B-Braun dialysis equipment made in Germany in 2020, the functional beds and water cleaning system compliant with international standards are available at the department. 

The equipment was purchased by the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia with support of the World Bank.

Ekaterine Tikarade met with the representatives of medical field at Rukhi Republican Hospital.  

The participants of the meeting reflected on the topics of fighting with the pandemic and vaccination.

Level of activity from the side of medical personnel in the process of vaccination was discussed.
