Vlakernoba 2020

Today Vlakernoba is celebrated in Zugdidi. Traditionally it is the special day for Zugdidi town, when the holy relic is taken out of storage of Dadiani Palace and Architectural Museum and brought to Iveria Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral been available for the public to pay their respects during  the day.

Iveria Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral Metropolitan Gerasime of Zugdidi and Tsaishi, together with the clergy, has conducted the special Ceremony.

The President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili along with the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Alexander Motserelia, his deputies, local government officials and a majoritarian MP attended the Vlakernoba Liturgy taken place at Iveria Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral of Zugdidi.

Pilgrims attended the celebration from all over Georgia.
