President Salome Zourabichvili Visits Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti

President Zourabichvili together with the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Zugdidi Municipality Mayor visited beneficiaries of a rehabilitation center for persons with disabilities and the Merkuri Association’s shelter for women and children victims of domestic violence.  

President Salome Zourabichvili visited the Sichinava family today in Zugdidi. The family has produced an ancestral burn ointment for decades, using Georgian traditional medicine methods. Marina Chichinadze, representative of Sichinava family, briefed the President on the history of producing the ointment, and showed documented materials proving the effectiveness of the ointment.

President also visited young artist Gigi Sichinava, who launched an anti-bullying campaign.

Within the framework of her visit,  President also observed the Emigrants’ Park and planted a tree.

Earlier, the President of Georgia met with the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, his deputies and mayors of the region and  briefed about ongoing activities in the region and the their prevention measures against the new Coronavirus.
