“Carrefour” plans to open stores in Zugdidi and Poti

The company plans to open branches in Zugdidi and Poti, the company is looking for a place where “Carrefour” will be located.

General Director of the company Christoph Orse met with the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Alexander Motserelia, his first Deputy Davit Partsania and Zugdidi Municipality Mayor Giorgi Shengelia.

At the meeting  with government officials and company representatives discussed several places, but no final decision has been made yet. The  State Representative underlined the importance of the investment to be made and the employment of the local population.

“Carrefour” is a French brand, whose exclusive owner is “Majid Al Futtaim Retail,” the company is represented in 37 countries in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Carrefour which appeared in the Georgian market in 2012, with the first hypermarket in Tbilisi Mall, already counts 2 Hypermarkets and 12 supermarkets in the Country, with total staff of more than 2000 employees.
