An oarsmanship school will be build in Poti

The new oarsmanship base will build on the Kaparcha river in Poti. Today, the project sketches reviewed in Poti City Hall.

The meeting attanded by the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Alexander Motserelia, Poti Mayor and his Deputy.

Near the river Kaparcha, in the area of the school of oarsmanship on Besiki street will build a modern European standards oarsmanship basewith swimming pool and relevant infrastructure.

The outdoor and indoor spaces of the building will be adapted for persons with disabilities. At the same time, large scale cleaning works are underway on the river Kaparcha. The  project investigates Paliastomi lake hydrodynamic regime restoration and cleaning the river bank up to 3700 meters.

The  cleaning works on the Kaparcha river and Paliastomi lake have not been implemented since the Soviet era. Natural processes have led to the decline of freshwater and degradation of part of the lake. Increased  reptiles, mosquitoes and other insects that caused problems for the locals.
