Meeting with beneficiaries participating in the State Program

The Deputy of the State Representative of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Davit Partsvania have met with beneficiaries participating in the State Program of berry crops.

The meeting was focusing on providing comprehensive information to the public about the state programs in the field of agriculture.

During the meeting, Davit Phartsvania paid special attention to the State programs and grants implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture.

Within  the framework of the project "Plant the Future” interested individuals have the ability to grow blueberry, blackberry and raspberry for free. According to the program, the State is funding 100% of the required seedlings and drip irrigation system for gardening. Gardens should not exceed 0.5 hectares. Project Participants have been trained in berry crop agrotechnology for two days.  The trainings are conducted by Lali Goginava, a consultant of the Scientific Research Center, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences.

The meeting was also attended by Giorgi Kvaraia, Head of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Information-Consultation Service of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
