The International Festival of Megrelian Folklore held in Anaklia

Historical fortress of Anaklia was hosting an International Festival dedicated to the Megrelian Folklore Choirmaster Polikarpe Khubulava. The festival was participated by the members of the Folk Ensembles from Great Britain and Ireland as well. The State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Mr. Alexander Motserelia along with Deputies and Government Representatives attended the event.

The State Representative addressed to the festival participants and remarked about its importance, noting that such festivals will always be supported by the Government.

London and Dublin Folk Ensembles performed Megrelian folk songs, which especially admired the audience.

International Festival “Kolkhi da “ named after the Megrelian Folklore Choirmaster Polikarpe Khubulava was initiated and supported by Zugdidi Municipality Art and Culture Development Center under the patronage of  Zugdidi Municipality.
