IDP’s living in Anaklia received apartments

Thirteen internally displaced families were handed apartments in Anaklia. Grigol Giorgadze, Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and Koba Kantaria, Deputy Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti attended the distribution process of apartments’ keys.

IDP families lived in old wooden cottages adjacent to the Port. The construction of Anaklia Port is strategically important project for the country, for this reason 13 internally displaced families received a durable accommodation which will be transferred into their private ownership.

Since 2013 until now, 1262 IDP families have received flats in Samegrelo. In addition, another 6 blocks of flats are being constructed, where 360 ​​IDP families will receive the apartments.
