The main Amount of Loss caused by strong winds in Samegrelo is Defined

The rehabilitation process of the buildings damaged as a result of the disaster in the Samegrelo Region continues intensively. The special commission calculated the amount of damage caused by the disaster, which at present exceeds 7 million GEL. The process of issuing the relevant material to the affected population for the restoration of roofs fully or partially paid to 698 residential houses is in the phase of completion.

The number of compact settlements of the damaged kindergartens, schools and IDPs has reached 31, and their rehabilitation works are underway. As for so-called, Fur Bridge” in Khobi Municipality connecting 2 villages with each other that was used by more than 300 citizens every day, will be served by free Municipal transport before the restoration of the bridge.  Invited experts still count the loss of the damaged amphitheater in Ganmukhuri, after which restoration works will be planned.

It should be noted that in the Region Municipalities along with the roofs, the walls of several residential houses have collapsed, and the process of delivering necessary materials for the reconstruction will be completed in the current days.
