Temporary bridge connecting Ledzadzame-Kvauti

The construction of a temporary bridge connecting Ledzadzame-Kvauti in Senaki Municipality has started. This time gravelling works to the temporal bridge is going on.

The flooded river Tekhuri Ledzadzame-Kvauti  road bridge was destroyed by heavy rain on August 10th and left about 80 families without acoomodation.

The Roads Department has been involved in the liquidation works of the disaster from the moment of disaster and mobilized the techniques.

At this stage, arrangements of the temporary bridge are underway. Transportation of temporary bridge will be carried out today, after which the bridge will be installed.

"Roads Department will be able to restore the bridge in the shortest time and the population will be able to use the renewed bridge," said Koba Gabunia, Deputy Chairman of the Roads Department, which coordinates the disaster elimination in the region.
