Abasha River in Tskemi created problems for the Locals

Up to ten families were evacuated from village Tskemi  in Abasha  Municipality. The swollen river Abasha broke through dams and flooded the plots of the population and the first floors of the houses.

Employees of the Emergency Management Service took care of the local people to take them safe places citizens, and the local authorities took care of their accommodation.

Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ilia Begiashvili and Grigol Katsia got acquainted with the situation in the disaster zone. Acting Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, deputy Governor and administration  staff were in the disaster zone.

The liquidation and restoration works will begin in Abashah today, while the counting commission will work in parallel. Heavy rain caused problems in Abasha, Martvili, Senaki, Khobi, Chkhorotsku and Zugdidi Municipalities.
