Deputy Minister of Infrastructure inspected the Situation in natural Disaster Zone

Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure inspected the situation in the disaster zone. Ilia Begashvili studied the situation in Senaki and Giga Katsia in Martvili and studied the process of liquidation works.

The acting Governor of Samegrelo Zemo-Svaneti, Deputy Governor, administration Staff, municipalities and local self-government officials are present in the disaster zone.

Employees of emergency situations, local self-government representatives and volunteers participate in clearing works.

In Senaki, Chavchavadze and adjacent streets flooded the first floors of landslide houses. Also, problems were created in old Senaki, Khorshi, Kotianeti, Ledzadzame, Ushapati, Sorti and other administrative units. The swollen river damaged the road bridge connecting Ledzadzame-Kvauti and the pedestrian bridge at Bethlehem.

Heavy rainfall in the municipality of Martvili also created problems. Abundant rainfall damaged homestead plots and residential houses: Banza, Didi Chkoni, Gurdjisi, Salkhino, Taleri, Abedati, Najakhao, Doshake, Nakhunau and Kursu. As a result of the developmnet of landslide processes, Roman Tofuria's family, has been mmoved to a safe place. Martvili Municipality City Hall hires living space for victims.

Heavy rains also caused problems in Abasha, Chkhorotsku, Zugdidi and Khobi Municipalities.
