Embankment Works of Nenskra River in Chuberi

Rehabilitation and embankment works of the river bed in Chuberi disaster zone is intensively underway. During the whole night the technique was carried out with special lights.

In order to eradicate the effects of disaster in Chuberi, the Emergency headquarters addressed the Ministry of Defense with the request of additional engineering techniques. The natural disaster damaged 6 bridges in Chuberi, causing difficulty of motor communication with people living on the left bank of the river Nenskra. Due to the absence of a motor bridge, it is impossible to bring equipment to the troublesome places; therefore, the fastest action is needed. Restoration of the fastest vehicle communication is possible through the Panel Military Bridge, which will solve the existing problem and the construction equipment will be able to strengthen and restore the left bank of the river.

Minister of IDPs and Accommodation Sozar Subari, First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Governor Levan Shonia and Mestia Mayor Kapiton Zhorzholiani are familiar with the ongoing works in the disaster zone.
