Installation of pheromones against bugs in Samegrelo Region

Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili, together with the  Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Zurab Alavidze and Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti  Levan Shonia, inspected the process of  countering Asian bugs’ activities in Western Georgia.

After viewing the Coordination HQ against the Pest in Abasha Municipality, the Ministers viewed drugs mobilized in Senaki to fight pests, and other means that were distributed by regions.

Chemical measures will be planned according to the monitoring results. Monitoring systems will be located throughout the country as well as in Western and Eastern Georgia. The installation of pheromones has already begun in Western Georgia. Ministers of Agriculture and Infrastructure have visited the process in Khobi municipality.

Zurab Patadze, Chairman of Adjara government, Guria Governor Merab Chanukvadze and First Deputy Governor of Imereti Grigol Dalakishvili also visited Samegrelo region to plan future events.
