Minister of Health meets medical society

Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs Davit Sergeenko together with  General  Director of Desease Control and Public Health National Center  Amiran Gamkrelidze and Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region Levan Shonia met  medical society of the region and authorities of the  local municipalities.

The Minister informed the audience about the planned projects in the healthcare system and presented a new pilot program. The project is under "one umbrella" of HIV AIDS, TB and C hepatitis – involving Municipalities  in primary health care.

At the meeting the focus was made on measles preventive measures. Together with the audience, various health care projects and other topical issues of the medical sector were discussed. In response to the existing challenges, along with the health care agency, the role of local municipalities was paid attention.

Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs Davit Sergeenko meets the medical society in permanent regime. Meeting of the similar format with Minister was held in in Imereti and Adjara regions.

The meeting was attended by local self-government representatives and heads of public health service departments.
