The State strategic vision introduced with large-scale corn yield owner farmers in Abasha
Coordination Management Center for fighting against the Asian brown marmorated stink bug has held workshop with large-scale corn yield owner farmers in Abasha, where the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Alexander Motserelia and head of the center Lasha Shalamberidze introduced the State strategic vision against the Asian brown marmorated stink bug.
Presentation of the strategy was attended by the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian Issues Otar Danelia, Deputy Head of the National Food Agency Zurab Lipartia and Mayor of Abasha Municipality Levan Makalatia.
The State Government will carry out treatment actions in corn yields. It was also mentioned that active involvement of each and every farmer is considerably important regarding pest control.
The State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti explained that it is important to conduct informational meetings with farmers of all chain operating in agriculture in view of the fact that joint efforts might reduce number of the pests to minimal range.
The farmers noted that the State strategy was drafted according to all standards where interests of all farmers had been carefully considered, that would definitely assist to improvement of harvest quality-wise and amount-wise
